Home > Good practices > Minigolf Kids for a better World
The children /participants collect domestic waste to build
unique obstacles which are used in minigolf tournaments for kids. For building
obstacles, the children have to work as a group to generate ideas and
execute them. At the same time the children also learn to recycle materials
and reuse them for building new things.
Children learn how to reuse waste to create something new and get a profit out of it. They also learn to work together as a team and have fun playing minigolf at the same time.
The project has been realized in multiple schools in Portugal and as a demonstration it was done during the minigolf world championships in China in 2019. A group of children from a local school were briefed just a few hours before the presentation and they built beautful obstacles and played minigolf with them on stage during the UTS conference.
