Summary

Basketball Without Borders is a four-day camp which brings together the basketball grassroots. It encourages campers to build long-lasting relationships with their fellow teammates and coaches.

Aim/Mission

The project´s aim is to provide grassroot athletes across continents an opportunity to get together for new experiences and learn life-skills through camping.

Success Factors
& Achievements

  1. It is a good exemplary programmeme conducted in collaboration with the NBA. Strong support from the sponsors allowed the campers to have no financial burden in joining the camp.
  2. BWB makes good use of NBA or FIBA players and coaches, both current and former. This helps in attracting participants to apply for the camp.
  3. BWB does not only focus on teaching basketball skills, but also extends the camp in teaching the youth life-skills such as leadership.
  4. BWB provides opportunities for minor groups to have chance to become major.
