TAFISA and INTERACT+ recently gathered representatives from International Sport Organizations (ISOs) for an online Peer-to-Peer Exchange focused on strengthening Sport for All. The session created an open, conversational atmosphere where participants shared experiences, challenges, and ideas for collective improvement.
After welcoming remarks from Jean-Francois Laurent, TAFISA Secretary General and introductions, Rachel Mait, TAFISA Project Impact Manager, led a roundtable exploring where Sport for All currently stands within ISOs. Participants spoke candidly about limited resources, uneven NF engagement, and the need for clearer structures. Despite these challenges, many highlighted growing interest in Sport for All and the value of collaborating across organizations.
The second part of the event introduced practical support offered through INTERACT+, including the Sport for All Capacity Building Training and the Sport for All Label. Jörg Benner spoke about the unexpected benefits of the Sport for All Capacity Building Training, including how the trainings help federations build capacity in designing and delivering Sport for All initiatives, programs, and events, engage their members more effectively, and provide quality networking experiences within and between organizations. A short platform demonstration showcased how the Sport for All Label can be a valuable asset for an organization to quantify and promote their Sport for All activities.
Participants were invited to engage with upcoming opportunities such as the Call for Interest for 2026 Capacity Building Trainings, applying for the Sport for All Label, the TAFISA World Congress in Prague, Czech Republic, and the TAFISA European Sport for All Games in Limerick, Ireland.
The event strengthened understanding of INTERACT+ initiatives, encouraged new connections among ISOs and NFs, and reaffirmed a shared commitment to growing Sport for All. Follow-up materials will be sent to participants, and TAFISA and INTERACT+ extend sincere thanks to all who contributed their insights and energy.
