At the 28th TAFISA World Congress in Düsseldorf, the INTERACT+ project was presented alongside other presentations from project partners in a Parallel Session.
The topic was: How can International Sport Organisations bridge the gap with grassroots sports?
International Sport Organisations are at the core of the sport delivery systems and the governing bodies of their respective sport disciplines. They represent hundreds of millions of members worldwide, providing them with a great power to bring about a positive change. This Parallel Session tackled the question of how International Sport Organisations can work together and develop a new delivery system that places participation in Sport for All and physical activity at its core?
Moderated by Fiona Johnson, the session kicked off with an Impulse by Aurelie van Hoye from University of Limerick. Denise Robrade presented the INTERACT+ case studies. Fernando Parente from International University Sports Federation (FISU), Cat O’Sullivan from World Athletics, Maarit Larinen from World Minigolf Sport Federation, and Jörg Benner from European Flying Disc Federation also presented and participated in a discussion.
We were very happy to present and spread awareness about the INTERACT+ programme to the Congress attendees, representing over 350 participants from over 70 countries!
