TAFISA was proud to be represented at the Lausanne Olympic Capital International Federation Seminar in Lausanne, Switzerland, where international sport leaders came together to explore how Sport for All can drive meaningful, measurable impact across societies. Speaking on behalf of TAFISA and the INTERACT+ project, Jean-François Laurent highlighted the growing responsibility of international sport organizations to move beyond competition and participation alone and toward systemic, inclusive change.
In his presentation, Jean-François emphasized that Sport for All is no longer only about increasing access to physical activity, but about intentionally using sport as a tool to address broader societal challenges such as inactivity, social exclusion, and inequality. Through its global network and long-standing commitment to inclusive sport, TAFISA is uniquely positioned to support this shift from intention to impact.
A key focus of the presentation was INTERACT+, a TAFISA-led initiative designed to strengthen the capacity of international sport organizations to embed inclusion, physical activity promotion, and social impact into their structures, strategies, and programs. INTERACT+ supports organizations in aligning their work with shared values, evidence-based approaches, and collaborative action across sectors and regions through capacity building trainings and a Sport for All label.
The seminar provided an important platform to exchange perspectives with leaders from university sport, the sporting goods industry, innovation-driven sport organizations, and community-focused initiatives. Together, the discussions reinforced the idea that no single organization can address the global inactivity crisis alone, and that collaboration across the sport ecosystem is essential to achieving long-term impact.
TAFISA’s contribution in Lausanne reaffirmed its commitment to supporting international federations and partners in translating Sport for All principles into action. By connecting policy, practice, and people through initiatives like INTERACT+, TAFISA continues to advocate for sport as a powerful driver of healthier, more inclusive, and more active societies worldwide.
